Our presenter, Dr. Melvin Kramer brings over 40 years of food service industry experience in the area of foodborne disease outbreaks.
Melvin N. Kramer, Ph.D., M.P.H.,
is an environmental and infectious disease epidemiologist with has 40 years of professional experience in all aspects infectious diseases, especially with and for the food industry both as a regulator and as a consultant. He has consulted widely with food processors, manufacturers, growers, importers, exporters, the cruise industry as well as having served as an expert in matters relating to the regulation of food and as an expert witness in litigation mostly in areas of foodborne disease outbreaks and recalls. He is the author of journal publications on food safety and infectious disease topics and has lectured at colleges, universities and conferences, as well as internationally represented the United States on matters of BSE (mad cow disease) primarily in Asia where our beef was not being accepted as well as lectured on other topics such as blood borne disease as well as respiratory disease, such as Avian Influenza.
