The Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management Foundation has invited faculty members from accredited universities to submit proposals for the purpose of researching operations and management issues in the corporate foodservice and workplace hospitality industries. Grants will be considered based on industry impact and may vary widely in scope and size. Only one proposal will receive an award; funds are non-renewable and project duration is limited to one year.
This new program brought ten proposals from colleges and universities nationally and internationally, where the selected team of faculty and students will attend the upcoming national conference to present their research plans to the membership. The program will provide scholarships to the participating students and SHFM will have a white paper on the research topic at the end of the process.
With this new program and existing programs, the Foundation aims to provide opportunities and support in the form of scholarships and internships for the next generation of corporate foodservice and hospitality leaders. This program is an example of the evolving work of our Foundation as it supports the future of our industry. Watch for future announcements regarding the selected academic team.
