Conversations That Matter:
Confronting Systemic Racism – Striving for Equity in Hospitality and Beyond
Thursday, August 20 | 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. ET

The foodservice and hospitality industry is known for having one of the most diverse workforces, yet for far too long, we’ve been silent about the impact of race in the workplace. At this critical point in our nation’s social reckoning, our leaders must move past discomfort to courageously create a space for dialogue and structural change. Have you wondered why People of Color in your organization have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic? Do you feel unequipped to support your employees or even share your own perspectives about social justice?

Join special guest speaker, Gerri Mason Hall, as she guides us to start confronting these issues during an interactive session addressing:

  • The impact of systemic racism on employees’ every day experiences
  • Leaders’ roles in examining their racial biases and identity
  • Strategies to be a visible ally and elevate anti-racism initiatives
