6:30 a.m.  Foundation Golf Tournament
(Optional: Additional cost for participation.)

Thank you to our golf sponsors!
The annual SHFM Golf Tournament will take place on the Oak Marsh course at the Amelia Island Golf Resort. Named a “Top 121 Golf Resort in the World” by Condé Nast Traveler, the resort is home to a Pete Dye-designed championship golf course. The Oak Marsh Golf Course is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks for which Amelia Island is famous. Oak Marsh has hosted numerous resort tournaments as well as the 1991 PGA Section Championship and 1992 Society of Seniors Championship. Included in Golf Digest's prestigious list of the “Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S.”, Oak Marsh also was selected by Travel & Leisure Golf as one of “Florida's 50 Finest Courses”. You don’t want to miss your chance to be part of this exciting tournament … register to play TODAY!
Cost: $245 (Includes boxed lunch, two drink tickets, greens fees and cart fees.)
Please note: The course requires all players to wear collared shirts. Denim is prohibited. All players must also adhere to a “soft spikes only” policy.
9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Sprouting Project Tour & Tastings
In true farm-to-table style, Omni’s The Sprouting Project consists of a state-of-the-art aquaponic greenhouse, an expansive organic garden, the barrel room and a large collection of beehives, which all service the hotel’s culinary program. Join this chef-guided tour & tasting for a unique interactive experience as you learn about their operation. Your excursion includes an aquaponic pesto tasting, a scavenger hunt in the outdoor garden and a Bloody Mary build in the Barrel Room. A tasting of micro honey cake in the apiary and a parting honey gift round out your Southern inspired tour and tasting on SHFM’s conference host property.

As they say, “You can’t really know a place until you actually taste it!”

Cost: $85 per person (This tour has a minimum of 8 guests and maximum of 40. If a minimum is not reached within one week of the tour date, registrants will be notified and fees refunded. If a maximum is reached, a waitlist will be maintained.)
9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Eco Group Bike Hike
Explore the native flora, fauna and eco systems of Amelia Island & its landmarks with a resort naturalist tour guide. Ride a one-speed, beach cruiser style bike around the resort with fellow SHFM colleagues while seeing our host property first-hand. The bike trail is 7 miles, beginner level and mostly flat with a few small slopes. Your stop at the halfway point includes a boardwalk water break. You’ll depart from Amelia’s Wheels, which is a short 5-minute walk or quick shuttle ride from the hotel lobby.
Start conference with some great exercise, a memorable experience and an appreciation for the natural beauty of the Omni’s barrier island setting.
