About SHFM Foundation

Building Bright Futures in Our Industry

The SHFM Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports higher education through scholarships and student outreach programs. The Foundation is committed to the continued growth of our vital industry, which drives productivity and morale for millions of American workers every day. The Foundation offers scholarships to students that have gained acceptance into a full-time restaurant/foodservice or hospitality-related post-secondary program.

Students applying for the scholarship are judged on the following criteria: a strong desire to work in corporate foodservice and/or workplace hospitality, GPA, work experience, the content of a letter of recommendation and the content of a written essay.

In addition to the scholarships, the Foundation offers funding to colleges/universities that offer or are interested in offering a corporate foodservice or workplace hospitality course. Several schools are awarded this grant; interested colleges/universities must apply direction to the Foundation for grant information and submission details.

In addition to individual and corporate support, the SHFM Foundation holds several fund-raising events, as well as a silent auction during the SHFM National Conference to support its programs. Join us in this important cause … impact the growth, relevance and bright future of corporate foodservice and workplace hospitality!
