John G. Nackley, President & CEO, InterMetro Industries Corporation, MODERATOR
John Nackley has been the President and CEO of InterMetro, a division of The Ali Group, for over 22 years. Under his leadership, Metro has become a global force in offering space optimization and productivity solutions, which gives John a unique perspective on current trends in the foodservice industry. He cites changing menus, technology and automation as just a few of the drivers changing the way we design and serve. John is a recipient of NAFEM’s highest award, the William Carpenter Award, for leadership and service to the global foodservice industry and has served on their Board of Directors for 15 years. He has also held leadership roles in numerous business, civic and service organizations. John is a graduate of Kings College with a degree in Mathematics.
   
Michael Bonomo, Director of Global Workplace, CannonDesign 
An innovative design leader, Michael directs CannonDesign’s global workplace practice and co-leads the firm’s commercial market. He leads award-winning work for international companies including Bloomberg, Honeywell, Kate Spade, Time Warner, Spotify and HSBC among others. Michael approaches his projects with acute attention to how their design will shape the user experience. Increasingly, that experience is being shaped by hospitality and with greater awareness of IOT (Internet of Things) to augment how people engage with their environment. His work delivering foodservice facilities for clients, including New York University, Altria, AOL, The Huffington Post and Pivotal, exemplify the shift to use these areas have become flexible social venues used throughout the day from their previous institutional model of places open at select hours with the sole purpose of feeding workers.
 
   
Mike Church, Managing Director, Deloitte Digital 
Mike is a Managing Director within Deloitte Digital. He is a seasoned technology leader with over 23 years of experience guiding business transformation across the restaurant, hospitality, technology and CPG industries. With expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, CRM and guest-facing technology, Mike has launched successful strategic growth initiatives at companies such as Google, Darden Restaurants, Diageo, DineEquity, and Universal Studios. With proficiencies in Japanese and Indonesian, Mike holds bachelor’s degrees in both East Asian Studies and Religion (emphasis on Social Ethics) from USC, and an MBA from New York University with an emphasis in Strategy and Entertainment Media Technology. 
   
Connie Dickson, Principal, Rippe Associates
As a Design Principal with Rippe Associates, Connie Dickson draws on both culinary and foodservice management experience to develop designs based on her client’s vision for their operation. Connie specializes in business and industry, healthcare and senior living projects. She enjoys being out in nature to recharge and find inspiration. Connie is a professional member of FCSI, and an active member of SHFM and AHF.  She holds degrees in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University and in Culinary Arts from Kendall College.  If Connie wasn’t helping clients envisioning new possibilities, she would be running an animal sanctuary.

 
   
Christine Gurtler, Design Director, Jacobs l Doland l Beer, LLC
As Jacobs | Doland | Beer’s Director of Design, Christine provides leadership and strategic direction of the firms practical and creative processes and documentation. She has extensive foodservice consulting experience in hospitality and in the corporate sector, including work with top technology, finance, and law firms. Her experience also includes a variety of other foodservice facilities, including university, entertainment, and retail projects. Christine is a LEED accredited professional and FCSI professional consultant member. She has diverse foodservice operations experience in the front- and back-of-house. Christine holds Bachelor’s degrees from Cornell University in Hospitality Management and the Parsons School of Design in Interior Architecture.
